Wonderment offers toys and creative pastimes to delight all ages, from infants to school age, as well as hard-to-shop-for older children and teens. Even grown-ups find many items of interest. The inspiring and eclectic mix of high quality toys, crafts, gifts and home accessories, all beautifully made of natural materials, are thoughtfully selected by the owners for open-ended, imaginative play, creativity and lasting appeal.
This mother-owned business was launched in September 2005 by the "Wonderment Women:" Lisa MacMartin, Zuzanne Fenner and Joyce Olson-Kapell. Located in a historic building with the original tin ceiling, Wonderment is a serene oasis, with gentle music, wood fixtures, soft green walls and a floor-to-ceiling indoor tree house. Seasonally inspired craft workshops are offered on weekends. Shopping online is also available.
It's not just the quality of the toys and crafts, but the quality of the Wonderment experience that keeps customers coming back often.
Grown-ups and children alike love our craft classes. The philosophy behind these craft offerings is inspired by the curriculum of the Waldorf schools our children have attended. We focus on skill building rather than the end result, deepening our
experience of the season,
